I don’t know about you, but we were pretty psyched about all of Apple’s new, shiny goodies. With us itching to get our hands on iOS 9, we wanted to make sure your Opera Coast browser was a match made in heaven.
So today we’re bringing out a bunch of new features to make browsing on your iPad even more smooth and sassy.
iOS9 is all about multitasking. With Opera Coast on your side slide, you can take a peek at an email, respond to messages or do a quick Google search without having to leave the original page you are on. You’ll also always get the optimized mobile view of websites while on this smaller panel, for your viewing pleasure.
Simply swipe from the side of the screen and Opera Coast will be ready to rock.
Sometimes a cheeky peek isn’t enough – you want to have a full, multitasking experience, using two apps or sites at the same time. With Split Screen, you can search for restaurants on Trip Advisor while scouring Google Maps for the best route there, all from the same screen. No need for tabs or flicking between windows.
(Available on iPad Air 2, iPad Pro and iPad Mini 4)
Picture in Picture
What if you could browse, email, play games and switch between apps without having to pause the funny cat-fails video you were watching? Now, with Picture in Picture you can start watching a video and then switch it to a minimized version, which will keep playing in the corner of your screen, no matter what other things you want to do on your iPad. You can also drag the minimized screen to different corners, to keep it visible, yet out of the way.
(Available on iPad Mini 2/3/4, iPad Air 1/2 and iPad Pro)
You can now get even easier access to your favorites through Opera Coast without opening the browser. Say what?!
Swipe left or down from your homescreen to see a list of your favorite places on the web, taken from your Opera Coast tiles.
That’s a load of new, right? But, that’s not all. We’ve also added the ability to change search engines and bring you more relevant content through our Discover feature.
